My dogs did. I did not.

My dogs eat people. They will defend myself and my children to the death. We have no fear of them. Everybody else, however, stand back and stay off my lawn.

The plumber and his assistant are coming today.

My son, Drew, realized what day we are drugging our dogs. “Hey, you guys get to celebrate 420! Congrats and enjoy your high!”

Weed day, also known as marijuana day or pot day is celebrated on April 20 each year. The slang “420” refers to the date and/or the time to “celebrate cannabis consumption and or the celebration of marijuana culture.”

Recently, we have started feeding the dogs doggie drug cookies whenever we cannot avoid having a stranger come inside the house. The dogs still have to be securely crated and they still bark. After a while, however, they calm and watch the people walk past their crates without trying to rip out of their crates. We give our dogs the pet appropriate drug cookies an hour before strangers get here. When the drugs kick in, the dogs are less stressed, the strangers are less stressed, my family and I are less stressed.

Today, it only took an additional 2 hours of constant barking, baring of teeth, jumping up every time the plumber walked through before the drugs kicked in. Aah, quiet and calm is good. Finally.

Enjoy your 420 responsibly!
